SLA Technician

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable SLA Security Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a range of electronic security systems in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs). The successful candidate will be hands-on, technically competent, and capable of working independently while delivering high-quality service to clients. This role also offers on-the-job training, where the technician will gain exposure to and develop skills in basic networking and alternative energy systems (such as backup power and solar-supported security solutions)

Responsible For

1. Troubleshooting & Fault Finding

Diagnose and resolve faults across electronic security systems including boom gates, electric fencing, CCTV (IP & Analog), access control, Inverter systems and related equipment.
Test system components, cabling, power supplies, and network connections to ensure full functionality.

2. Preventative Maintenance

Perform scheduled maintenance on technologysystems to prevent failures and downtime.
Inspect, test, and calibrate equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with SLA requirements.
Identify potential issues early and recommend repairs or upgrades before system failure occurs.

3. SLA Callout Response

Respond to service calls within agreed SLA response times.
Prioritise faults based on severity and client impact.
Communicate clearly with clients regarding arrival times, repair progress, and system status.

4. Installation & Commissioning

Install new security systems and components, including cabling, devices, and control equipment.
Configure and commission systems to meet client specifications and operational requirements.
Perform final testing and handover to ensure systems are fully operational and compliant.

5. Documentation & Reporting

Complete service reports, job cards, and maintenance records accurately and on time.
Document faults found, work completed, and parts used.
Provide feedback and recommendations to management and clients.

Additional Requirements
Ability to work standby once a month for one week including weekend.
