A Personal Setback and a Team Triumph
For Carlo and Neill, the race was a testament to their determination. However, during Stage 4, Neill faced health challenges that forced him to withdraw from the race. While this was a significant setback, it didn’t mark the end of their Cape Epic story.
Embracing the role of a super supporter, Neil became an unwavering pillar of encouragement for Carlo. His presence at the sidelines, offering motivation and assistance, exemplified the profound bond and teamwork that define the Cape Epic experience.
Celebrating the Spirit of the Cape Epic
The journey of Carlo Engelbrecht and Niel Bisset in the 2025 Absa Cape Epic highlights the race’s essence: it’s not solely about competition but also about resilience, support, and the unbreakable human spirit. Their story serves as an inspiration, reminding us that triumph isn’t always measured by finishing times but by the courage to face challenges head-on and the strength to support one another through adversity
